Acrylic Painting from start to finish.

I previously posted digital paintings in this style. But I really wanted to prove to myself that I could still paint like this in acrylics.

After a layer of Gesso, I painted a coating of black acrylic
I added streaks of blue
I like the way the shadows created geometric shapes
I added teal
Mixed up some green. I later added a really light gray and then added black.
Got so much into it that there’s no more intermediate stages shown.
After painting the person, I added the broken umbrella as an afterthought. Adding a touch of red to the hat. I figured the painting needed a small touch of red.

Ghost in the window

We’ve been through the wettest winter in Californian history; so it’s probably no surprise to see the ghosts of the water are back.
